“Hometown Holidays” returns to Warren in December with a robust schedule of family-friendly activities.

The annual holiday event takes place on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Programs occur on Courthouse Square and throughout the downtown.

The all-ages event will offer crafts, holiday sales, music, a meet-and-greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus and the annual holiday tree lighting.

Event organizers are currently inviting area businesses, organizations, marching bands, neighborhood groups and residents to participate in this year’s “Hometown Holidays Parade.” The lineup starts at 4 p.m. and the parade begins at 5 p.m. Call or text 234-600-8365 to register.

For the first time, the holiday parade will have a float competition. Categories include “Best Overall Float,” “Most Festive Float,” “Best Use of Lights” and “Judges’ Choice.”

“This year’s parade is all about showing off Warren’s hometown pride, community spirit, and Christmas cheer,” say organizers. “Whether you go classic, creative or completely over-the-top, let’s make this parade one to remember.”
