Lit Youngstown will host a writing workshop series for adults experiencing grief.
The program will take place from April 2-May 14 at the Girard Free Library. Sessions occur on Thursdays from 6-7:30 p.m. No workshop is scheduled for April 16.
The workshop includes group poetry readings, peer-led discussions, “thought-provoking prompts” and the opportunity for participants to share work.
Alex Abruzzi, a longtime Girard resident and graduate of Youngstown State University, will lead the workshop. Abruzzi earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from Youngstown State and teaches introductory writing courses there.
The workshop is free and open to the public, but registration is required. To register, visit lityoungstown.org.
