LOOP Youngstown Arts + Culture Center has received a donation of $5,000 from KO Consulting, LLC to sponsor a studio in a new art space that will house artist studios, workshops, exhibitions and community programs. LOOP is currently under contract to purchase the building at 805 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown.

Marking a new chapter for LOOP Youngstown, the art space will serve as a hub for local creatives, with classes and events for the broader community. A studio will be named in recognition of KO Consulting’s gift.

LOOP Youngstown is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to incubating arts and artists in the greater-Youngstown area.

“KO Consulting and Kristen Olmi have been in our corner from the beginning,” said board chair Karen Schubert. “This tangible support will help us keep moving forward, and it’s an affirmation coming from a team that knows what projects will fly.”

“Arts, culture, and community-based theatre centers are economic drivers. They make cities destinations and drive entrepreneurship and adjacent industries, such as dining, coffee, etc.,” said KO Consulting CEO/Owner Kristen Olmi.

“It is critical that Youngstown continue to invest in understanding the connection between economic development and the arts–in many strategic forms. We believe in this project, just as the Loop believes in us. Supporting it is value-driven to the work we do, and we are happy to do it,” said Olmi.
