Nanette’s 7UP Cake

Nanette’s 7UP Cake | This classic southern dessert gets its unique flavor and zest from the addition of 7UP. Prepared by Stacey Adger of Youngstown.

INGREDIENTS

3 sticks of butter, softened
3 cups sugar
4 teaspoons lemon flavor
5 eggs
3 cups flour
1 cup and 1 tablespoon 7UP

PREPARATION

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
  • Using an electric mixer, in large bowl, cream butter. Mix after each addition; add sugar.
  • Add flour. Add eggs-one at a time.
  • Add lemon flavor. Add 7Up. Beat until smooth.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
  • Once done, take out and invert cake onto a serving platter.
