Professional Development Center sets TJX Home Goods training | Prospects will be required to attend two training sessions in safety training and professional forklift operations.


The Professional Development Center is accepting job-candidate registrations for the planned TJX Home Goods Distribution Center in Lordstown.

PDC is looking to train approximately 300 potential candidates. Prospects will be required to attend two training sessions in safety training and professional forklift operations.

The first training session is scheduled for Dec. 7-8 and will occur periodically until the TJX Home Goods Distribution Center opens or all positions are filled.

Job candidates must pre-register. No appointment is necessary, and walk-ins are welcome. Pre-registrations occur from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Professional Development Center in downtown Youngstown.

Candidates should bring a valid I.D. (preferably a driver’s license) and Social Security card to preregistration. A drug screening, which costs $5, will be conducted on the first day of training.
