7th Annual Car Show. New Castle School of Trades, 4117 Pulaski Road, New Castle, Pa. 16101. Phil Riggs, 724-290-3870. Occurs on the New Castle School of Trades campus. This four-class show features custom trophies. Includes a D.J., food, tool truck, vendors and raffles. Gates open at 8 a.m. with dash plaques for first 200. Main Street Kent Art & Wine Festival. N. Water Street, downtown Kent 44240. The Art & Wine Festival is presented by Main Street Kent and The River Merchant. Features Ohio wineries, local artists, live music and food trucks. Music occurs from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at the Hometown Bank Plaza and Brewhouse patio. 11 a.m.-8 p.m., Saturday, June 1.

Features roast lamb, haluski, sarma (Croatian stuffed cabbage), strudel, burek (filled pastries), a cookie bakeoff, live music, dancing and folk group performances. The 38th annual festival celebrates African American heritage and culture. The three-day festival features African vendors, food trucks, live music and disc jockeys. A parade occurs Saturday at 11 a.m. (originating at Grace AME on Main Avenue and continuing to Courthouse Square). The Ohio Players will perform Saturday from 6-9 p.m. at the Warren Community Amphitheatre. The concert is free, but donations will be accepted. 11 a.m.-9 p.m each day. June 7-9.
Living Dead Weekend Monroeville 2024. Monroeville Mall, 200 Mall Circle Drive, Monroeville, Pa. 15146. This annual festival celebrates George A. Romero’s iconic “Dawn of the Dead” and the entire library of films based on “The Living Dead” series. The festival also celebrates “Dawn of the Dead” in the place it was filmed (Monroeville Mall) and the people who made it.
