The city of Youngstown will mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States with a commemorative ceremony downtown.
The commemorative ceremony occurs from noon-12:30 p.m., Friday at Youngstown Fire Station One, 420 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Youngstown 44502.
The ceremony will conclude with 25 bell rings of the Fire Station One bell by a delegation of first responders, representing 25 years since 9/11.
Residents and first responders are welcome to attend the noon ceremony. They are also invited to stop by Fire Station One throughout the day to ring the bell in memory of those who lost their lives on Sept. 11.
