The J. Newman Levy Speaker Series continues this summer with cultural programs by professors, historians, musicians and comedians.

Marcia Levy: Let’s Go To the Movies. Local historian Marcia Levy explores the stories behind favorite films and the unforgettable music that shaped each scene. The presentation offers a dive into what makes these movies truly memorable with an emphasis on Jewish directors, screen writers and soundtrack composers. Comedian Robin Fox. Comedian Robin Fox’s humor is inspired by family life and everyday moments. As a Gilda’s Club Laugh-Off grand prize winner, she performs regularly at New York-area comedy clubs. For adults 18 and older. Register by July 17. 5:30-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 21. Free.
The Klezmer Orchestra: Klezmer’s Greatest Hits. This event features an evening of Klezmer music with TKO. The Northeast Ohio-based ensemble performs traditional contemporary songs from around the world in Yiddish, English, Russian and Hebrew while celebrating the spirit and heritage of Klezmer music. For adults 18 and older. Register by July 30. 5:30-7:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 3. Free.
