JCC to hold Purim Carnival on March 1

The JCC of Youngstown will hold a Purim Carnival on Sunday, March 1 at the JCC, 505 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown.

The event takes place from noon to 3 p.m. Admission is free.

The family event will include carnival games, food, prizes, a bounce house and a costume contest. All families are welcome.

Carnival games and food will be available from noon to 2 p.m. The costume contest occurs at 2:15 p.m. Gameplay is unlimited with a $10 wristband. Food will be available for purchase.

Purim commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from Haman, an Achaemenid Persian Empire official who was planning to kill all the Jews in the empire, as recounted in the Book of Esther.
