Mahoning County reports 11 COVID deaths, 88 hospitalizations | Of the total deaths, 73 percent were men and 27 percent were women.
Mahoning County Public Health is reporting 193 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mahoning County, resulting in 11 deaths and 88 hospitalizations. The numbers are as of April 2.
Of the 193 confirmed cases, 42.5 percent are between the ages of 60-79; 39.5 percent are under 60; and 18 percent are 80 and older. Men comprise 52 percent of confirmed cases and women, 48 percent. Ages range from 19 to 99, with a median age of 62.7.
For hospitalizations, 46.7 percent are between the ages of 60 and 79; 26.7 percent are 80 and older; and 26.7 percent are under the age of 60. Women comprise 55.6 percent of hospitalizations and men, 44.4 percent.
Of the 11 deaths, 45.5 percent were between 60-79 years old; 45.5 percent were 80 and older; and 9 percent were under the age of 60. Ages ranged from 51-93, with a median age of 77.6. Of the total deaths, 73 percent were men and 27 percent were women.
