OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology, 11 W. Federal St., Youngstown, and student interns from Brown Mackie College are studying how exhibits work and are used by visitors.

On Dec. 19, two interns in the occupational therapy assistant program at Brown Mackie College started compiling how often visitors use exhibits and the type of play that occurs. The findings hope to help the museum make exhibits more interactive for visitors of all ages, sizes and abilities.

As part of this initiative, Brown Mackie interns will offer “Sensational Sensory Art” from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesdays through Jan. 25 at OH WOW! Museum patrons are encouraged to visit the InspireWorks Lab at OH WOW! anytime during the two-hour session. The session is free with museum admission.

Brown Mackie College, headquartered in Cincinnati, is a system of over 25 schools throughout North America. Programs, credential levels, technology, and scheduling options vary by school.
