Jewish Family & Community Services is offering three 10-week survivors of suicide support groups for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. The first started Tuesday, but individuals may still join. Other start dates this year are July 7 and Oct. 6.
The group meets from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays for 10 weeks at the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown, 505 Gypsy Lane. To register contact Laura at 330-746-7929, ext. 243 or lh***@**************wn.org. There is a limit of 10 participants, who will meet in a closed group.
Losing a loved one to suicide is a painful and complex experience that can leave survivors grappling with intense emotions, questions and feelings of isolation. The group provides a safe and understanding space for individuals who have lost someone to suicide.
This support group is made possible in partnership with the Mahoning County Mental Health & Recovery Board.
