Youngstown CityScape recently announced the winners of its 19th annual “Youngstown CityScape Beautification Awards” during a mid-November ceremony and reception at Concept Studio in downtown Youngstown.
CityScape presented awards in four categories: Business, Institutional, Community and Residential.
Winners in the Business category:

- Melanie Clarke-Penella – Blue Heron Treasure Shop.
- James Washington – J.E. Washington Funeral Services.
Winners in the Institutional category:
- Anthony Winterburn – St. Brendan Church.
- Paul Garchar – Potential Development.
Winners in the Community category:
- City of Youngstown Parks and Rec Department/Clemate Franklin – Lynn Park.
Winners in the Residential category:
- Jacquelyn Jackson.
- Floyd Trebus.
- Reagan Dunham.
- Darlene Swesey.
- Rodney Cheatham.
- Elsa Higby.
- Joni Edgar.
- Lou Joseph.
- Beth Ann Houy.
- Lorraine Millis.
- Joshua Citrak.

“The awards are a way for the community to join together and say ‘thank you’ to those who are committed to making a difference and helping improve and beautify Youngstown, ” said Sharon Letson, Youngstown CityScape executive director.
“CityScape’s goal is to highlight the positive energy and effort that contributes to the city’s appearance, which in turn inspires others to do the same.”
