Youngstown Summer Movie Series kicks off season June 22

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and friends to this weekly event

The Youngstown Summer Movie Series is back for 2026, bringing free, family-friendly movies to downtown Youngstown.

The series kicks off its season on Monday, June 22 with the 2025 adventure/fantasy film “A Minecraft Movie” and continues weekly through Aug. 10.

The Youngstown Summer Movie Series takes place on the Covelli Centre front lawn in downtown Youngstown. Movies begin at 9 p.m.

Guests are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and friends to this weekly event. Students from the Youngstown Rayen Early College National Honor Society will offer snacks and refreshments. In the event of rain, screenings move to the following evening.

Aspasia Lyras, Mario Riccardi and Hannah Ferguson will host the series. For questions and information, contact as**********@***il.com.
