Austintown
48th annual Austintown 4th of July Parade. Intersection of Raccoon and Kirk roads, Austintown 44515. Annual holiday festival includes floats, safety vehicles and a parade. The parade originates at the intersection of Raccoon and Kirk and proceeds north on Raccoon toward the Austintown Library. Noon, Saturday, July 4.
Canfield
Canfield Fourth of July Parade. Route: Canfield Fairgrounds to South Broad Street to the Canfield Village Green. The parade lines up at the fairgrounds. The day also includes a Children’s Fun Run (8:15 a.m.), a Firecracker 4-Mile Run (8:30 a.m.), bands at the Canfield Village Green gazebo, family activities and a pet costume parade. Parade starts at 10:10 a.m. 8:30 a.m., Saturday, July 4.
Struthers
Struthers School Foundation 4th of July Parade, 5K and Pizza Run. 5th Street Plaza and Rita Drive (near Pizza Joe’s), Struthers 44471. Participants are invited to run or walk 3.1 miles on the Struthers Parade route as people cheer along the way. The 5K run (for adults) starts 40 minutes before the 40th annual Struthers 4th of July Parade. The Kristy Taaffe Kids Pizza Run (half mile) starts at 11:45 a.m. See here for event details.
Youngstown
New date: Ignite the Night. Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre, Wean Park, 201 S. Phelps St., Youngstown 44503. 330-746-5600. The Rotary Club of Youngstown, in partnership with the city of Youngstown, the Economic Action Group and Youngstown CityScape, will present “Ignite the Night,” Youngstown’s “America 250” celebration. Howland
Howland’s 250 Together/Fourth of July Parade. Howland Center, Howland 44484. Email: am*****@*************ip.org. This two-day Fourth of July celebration begins at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 3 with live music and food trucks at Orwig Park. Saturday’s events start at 10 a.m. with a 1.5-mile parade originating at the Hunter Woods Plaza on East Market Street and finishes at Howland High School. The parade lineup begins at 8:30 a.m. Food and live music follow the parade. Friday, July 3-Saturday, July 4.
Mecca
Mecca Township Independence Day Fireworks. Mecca Township. This community-funded fireworks display is hosted by the Kindle family. Fireworks are scheduled to start between 9:30-9:45 p.m., but organizers advise arriving early to ensure the best viewing location. Viewing locations include the Maplewood High School parking lot, Mecca Park and Mecca Circle. Friday, July 3.
Mesopotamia

Annual event benefits Mesopotamia’s volunteer firefighters association. Features 160 vendors, entertainment, and the festival’s iconic roast beef sandwiches. Newton Falls

The four-day event features a parade (July 4), fireworks, food, music, a drone show, a carnival, children’s and family activities, a cornhole tournament and a beer tent. Niles
Niles annual Fourth of July Parade, Car Show and Craft Fair. Main Street and throughout downtown Niles 44446. Niles will celebrate “America 250” with a number of events throughout the downtown. A parade occurs along Main Street (from Federal to State streets) beginning at 11 a.m. and car/bike and craft shows will be set up at the Niles Senior Center. The day also includes food, music, vendors, face painting, a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Niles Public Square (with live music from 1-3 p.m.), a Mini Power Wheels Parade/Show (1 p.m.), LivePulse D.J. and various nonprofit community booths. Fireworks start at 9:45 p.m. and can be viewed from Central Park Trailhead, Riverside Park and Niles Public Square. 11 a.m., Saturday, July 4.

Independence Day at Brittain Lake. Westminster College, 319 S. Market St., New Wilmington, Pa. The 35th-annual, family-friendly event occurs at Brittain Lake on the Westminster campus. Food trucks will be onsite and will begin serving at 6 p.m. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. and includes a performance by the River City Brass Band.
