Oh Wow! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology will offer a free resources and professional development event for educators from 3 to 7 p.m. today. The program occurs at Oh Wow!, 15 Central Square, Youngstown.
Oh Wow! is partnering with PBS Western Reserve, the Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition, the Trumbull County ESC and the ESC of Eastern Ohio to provide free materials and classroom resources for any educator in the region.
“Our goal is to connect educators to resources and build community around educational needs,” said Katy Jo Daniel, Oh Wow! education director. “We are excited to learn from the attendees and offer a fun night of development with our partners.”
The event will kick off with a performance by the Feral Cat band from Purple Cat. The first 100 attendees will receive goody bags and the chance to win a free Oh Wow! Educational Outreach for their classroom.
