Video: Villa Maria Harvest Festival | Paula Jasper takes us to Villa Maria’s Fall Harvest Festival for a fun-filled afternoon of activities!

Homeplate’s Paula Jasper takes us to Villa Maria, Pennsylvania and the Fall Harvest Festival of the Sisters of the Humility of Mary. It’s a fun-filled afternoon full of activities, delicious organically grown foods, education, music and more! Watch for a special performance from The Weathered Road!

“Explore the Mahoning Valley” is part of Homeplate: Season 2, where Paula takes viewers on fun and educational explorations of the Mahoning Valley. In one episode, Paula takes viewers inside the Home Savings and Loan clock tower in downtown Youngstown. The fun continues with a tour of one of Youngstown’s most quirkiest stores – Star Supply! We meet owner Richard Rosenthal and discover how it all began. Later in the season, Homeplate visits a working dairy farm south of Mahoning County. We also get inside Lanterman’s Mill and see the Mahoning Valley’s earliest industry. There’s also a fast paced, fun evening of roller derby when Paula interviews members of Little Steel Derby Girls roller derby team.

Homeplate’s Paula Jasper and viewers discover the region’s sometimes hidden assets during “Explore the Mahoning Valley.” Paula holds a master’s of fine arts from the University of Memphis and a bachelor’s in fine arts from Pacific Lutheran University. With her husband Jack Carlton, she assisted in the development and management of the “Murals Project – Museum Without Walls,” which brought art to vacant storefronts in downtown Youngstown.
